Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

This policy is required by Washington's My Health My Data Act, Nevada's consumer health data law and similar state laws. It covers only consumer health data. Our full Privacy Policy covers everything else.

Consumer health data we collect, and why

  • Speech areas you choose for your child (for example "articulation"). We use them to choose practice exercises.
  • Practice results: words attempted, the text recognised from each attempt, accuracy scores and sound progress. We use them to score practice and show progress to the parent.

We don't collect diagnoses, medical records, prescriptions, audio recordings, biometric data or location. Speech recognition happens on the device, and no audio is stored.

Where it comes from

From the parent at setup, and from the child's practice in the app.

Who we share it with

  • Google (Firebase), our processor, which stores it for us.
  • A speech-language pathologist, only if the parent turns on "Share with an SLP" and then chooses to send a report.

We don't sell consumer health data, and we don't share it with any other third party or affiliate, or use it for advertising.

Consent

We collect consumer health data only after a parent or guardian gives consent in the app or on the website. Sharing with an SLP needs a separate consent. You can withdraw consent at any time in Parent Controls → Privacy Choices, or by deleting the account.

Your rights

You can confirm whether we hold your family's consumer health data, get a copy of it with a list of everyone we shared it with, withdraw consent, and have it deleted, including from any backups.

  • Delete in the app (Settings → Delete Account) or on the web (sign in → Account → Delete account).
  • For anything else, email aleem.rz@gmail.com from your account email. We reply within 45 days and never charge a fee.
  • If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with "Appeal" in the subject. We answer appeals within 45 days. If you're still unhappy, you can contact the Washington Attorney General at atg.wa.gov.
