How it works

Short, playful practice that adds up

Speech sounds improve with lots of small, correct tries. SpeechStars makes those tries fun to do at home, between visits to your child's speech-language pathologist.

  1. A parent sets things up. You create the account, confirm you're the parent or guardian, and choose your privacy settings. Sharing with an SLP is off unless you turn it on.
  2. Aria shows the sound. Her 3D mouth demonstrates where the tongue and lips go, with step-by-step cues for each sound.
  3. Your child has a go. On-device speech recognition listens to the word. Audio is never saved or uploaded.
  4. Feedback that helps. If a try misses, Aria explains what to change, for example a sound that was swapped or left out, and tries again together.
  5. Practice grows with them. Sounds move from emerging to mastered, at the start, middle and end of words. Activities adjust for ages 2 to 12.
  6. You see the progress. XP, streaks, sounds mastered and accuracy trends show up in the app and on your web dashboard right after each session.

What a session looks like

5–10 minutes

Short enough for busy days and small attention spans. Little and often works best.

Age-matched games

Toddler sound play, preschool picture practice, and word and sentence drills for school-age kids.

Mirror Mode

Optional front-camera mouth tracking, processed only in memory on the device and never saved.

Built for home

Parent area behind a parental gate, no ads and no third-party tracking.

SpeechStars supports home practice. It does not diagnose or treat any condition, and it isn't a replacement for a licensed speech-language pathologist.
